Star Style

I have always admired the effortless style of celebrities. Do you all look at People Magazine "Star Tracks"? I look at these almost daily. Here are some of my recent favorite celebrity looks:
{Image Credit: People Magazine Star Tracks}
Nicole Richie looks amazing here dressed in all black. I am really loving her dark hair- I think it suits her well.

Here is Emily Blunt looking very chic with a pop of color added to a gray jersey blazer and gray denim.

Julianne looks stunning in yellow. I adore wearing yellow pieces. I think they look especially well on gals with darker hair.

Michelle Williams looks fabulous in this one shoulder ruffle dress. One shoulder + Ruffles = 2010 spring trend. One shoulder dresses are back this season and I just love the look!

How could we do a star style section without Rachel Zoe? She looks perfectly put-together in a tweed jacket with over-the-knee suede boots and an olive green Hermes Birkin bag! Perfection!

I think everyone gets a little case of S.A.D. this time every year. S.A.D. stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder ... aka the winter blues. Is anyone else experiencing this feeling right now? I feel like I have no motivation to do anything. All I really want to do is sit in my warm house and not go outside. It's like pulling teeth getting me to leave my house for anything. I really hope S.A.D. goes away soon! I am looking forward to a little peek of spring in March.

Platform Sandals

Sky-high platform, chunky sandals are a fun upcoming trend for spring 2010! Platform sandals with a chunky heel can be surprisingly comfortable, so I am ready to embrace this trend with open arms!

At the top of my favorites list for this trend is the YSL Tribute sandal:

The lowlight experiment came out nice, but I think I might want it darker next time:

Next appointment, I am hoping to leave like this:

Time For An Intervention

Okay, so I think I got a little carried away with the blonde in my hair because, WOW, recently my roots have been seriously severe. I feel like I am channeling Vienna on The Bachelor and her gross orange hair (which is never a good thing). I am tired of constantly looking like this:
{At least Kate Moss can pull off the "root" look}

I am taking it down a few notchesat my hair appointment tomorrow with some serious low lights.

Here are my inspiration pics of gorgeous low lights (in my opinion). They are all pretty different, so who knows what I'll come out with. I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

Wordless Wednesday

Because I have nothing better to talk about today, I thought I would share that I freakin' love Victoria Beckham. I've been a fan since Posh Spice in the Spice Girls, but really, she's not only a fashionista, but she's funny too! I think she could wear a trash bag and still look amazing.

Heel Help ...

Alright, so I know I said a while back that I am tired of buying heels that hurt my feet. I also said I really only wear flats. In an attempt to wear more of my heels, I am slowly discovering which heels can be comfortable and which ones are downright painful because, let's face it, high heels are hot and fashionable.

First of all, contrary to what you might think, the higher the platform on the bottom of the shoe and the thicker the heel itself, the more comfortable the shoe. This little fact surprised me:

Many of my heels have a skinny little heel and absolutely no platform, hence why they are so uncomfortable. Having a skinny heel gives no support to hold up your foot.

Another solution to my high heel problem are heel inserts. I love wearing inserts to give a little cushioning to your feet.

Together, friends, we can make heels bearable! HA!

Weekend of Fun

I hope all of you had a great weekend. Yesterday, we brunched at the exact Museum and restaurant where we had our wedding and reception. It really brought back some memories from our wedding reception.

The Museum restaurant looks over Overton Park in Midtown Memphis:

I had the yummy Bourbon French-Vanilla French Toast:

Having a little morning beverage:

Just checkin' out the marble statues:

And I came home to these beautiful flowers with pink feathers:

What did you all do for Valentine's Day?

Glitter Nails!

Yesterday I got OPI's "Mad As A Hatter" on my nails. The color is from their Alice in Wonderland collection. It's pretty crazy, but I like it! I think it's hard for people to take me seriously with glitter nails. I call them my "Mardi Gras" nails!

Vegas Vacation

Just when we thought we were going to skip the whole 1 year anniversary trip we decided on LAS VEGAS! With the fabulous shopping, restaurants, pools, and weather, it's a win-win situation! Plus we've both never been before, so this will be a first!

Our flight was totally free and now we're just trying to decide on a hotel. So far the contenders are the Bellagio, Wynn, Mandarin Oriental, and Vdara. Any recommendations?

Also, we're thinking Tao and Nobu for sure, but any other restaurant recommendations?

5 of My Favorite Things- Right Now!

These are 5 of my favorite things RIGHT NOW:

1) La Mer- I always go back to La Mer after trying something new. I have learned my lesson and will always use it from here on out. I know some people think it's a crock, but I really like it!

2) Bangs- As you all know, I got bangs about a month ago. I really like them!

3) Rompers/Jumpsuits- I've already started stocking up for spring. These are the two rompers that I have purchased already:

4) Handbags- I think this is definitely a permanent "favorite thing" of mine. A new handbag gets me so excited. I am currently saving up for my spring handbag purchase and should be able to purchase it within the next couple of weeks.

5) Blogging/Twitter- Have I talked about how much I love blogging and social media lately? I can't get enough! I am so thankful for the friendships that I've made through blogging :)

What are some things you are lovin' right now?

Don't forget to check out Closet Confidential for outfit pics!
