PIPM: Pretty in Pink Megan: June 2011

Happy 4th of July Weekend

I went out to eat tonight and didn't even realize I was dressed like a patriotic Patty. I wore a blazer from f21, a white blouse from f21, blue jeans from Hallelu and Christian Louboutin wedges. I also carried my new J.Crew Edie satchel; it's a little smaller than I envisioned, but it's super-cute!

Meet 26 year old Megan ...

Rockin' the Kindergarten straight across bangs again!

Also, got a lighter color- much closer to my natural color. I love it!

More pics to come later this week when I actually style it and wear make-up.

OOTD: Cheetah grrrrr

I'm sure you all know by now my love of leopard print. This weekend I got a leopard print cargo type blouse at Forever 21. I wore it with black pants and my new Loeffler Randall shoes and f21 necklace.

Weekend Fun

This weekend I trekked up to Kentucky to visit my parents. I ended up finding some steals of deals when I was just shopping around!

When I was in High School, my friend Audrey told me about a secret outlet that was near Louisville that not many people knew about. At that time, Zappos was just beginning to become popular and the main shipping facility for Zappos is located right outside of Louisville. Back in the day, we would go up to the outlet back then and get expensive shoes for nearly nothing!

While I was here, Mom and I decided to go shopping and I randomly remembered the Zappos outlet, so we wheeled in and what a treat it was! This place was PACKED; I guess more people know about it know as people were there from all over the US!

I scored these Steve Madden wedges that were originally $150.00 for TWENTY dollars! Yes, you read that right. Everything in the outlet was 70% off. Unfortunately, there were no Loeffler Randall or Elizabeth and James shoes in my size, but I did see them in other sizes at the outlet.

I also got this Robert Rodriguez dress that was originally $400.00 for only $80.00.

People were buying garbage bags full of shoes!

If you are ever passing through Louisville, you definitely should stop at the Zappos/6pm Outlet!

I also found this adorable Cynthia Rowley leather leopard satchel at TJ Maxx!

Also, this weekend I decided to try the "skirt as dress" trend. I wore this f21 maxi skirt as a dress with a cardigan. I also wore my new suede Loeffler Randall wedges scored on sale from Saks.

I love finding good deals!

Natural Blonde After All?

My name is Megan and my natural hair color is much lighter than I ever imagined. WTF.
Who knows what I will do with my hair. At this point I might start wearing wigs like Kim Zolciak.

I feel like I need to embrace my inner dark blonde hair with looks such as these:

Happy Hump Day

Today I am wearing another top from Hallelu. It's a really cute light pink blouse with interesting embroidery. To spice things up a bit, I wore it with J.Crew Pixies and my Daniblack Leopard flats.

Friends, I am in a serious hair rut. I realize I say this probably about every two months or so. I can't help that I have hair ADD (aka I am indecisive).

I have a hair appointment next Wednesday and I think that I definitely want bangs, but I am unsure of what I want to do with the color. The dark just isn't cutting it anymore. My roots are growing in so much lighter and I need something that is going to be much less maintenance. My stylist and I had talked about lightening up my base (just roots) and gradually making it lighter and lighter with each appointment and as my ends fade, it will eventually blend in.

Here are some looks that I am loving:

- I am not sure what color to call this- maybe a pale brown? I really love this color as it looks a lot like my natural color probably would.

- I have ALWAYS loved Isla Fisher's pale red color and would love to try a shade of red sometime.

- This is a blogger, Sincerely Jules, and I love her bangs and ombre.

Just for fun I played on InStyle Makeover to see what I would look like with red hair:

Tuesday Fun

I received my speedy with strap last week- LOVE IT. The strap provides much versatility and if I ever wanted to carry it without the strap I would be able to just take it off!

This is my outfit today. Simple J.Crew Linen dress with a Michael Stars loose knit cardigan and reva flats.

Short and Sassy Summery Wedding Dresses

I found myself looking at wedding dresses this weekend. It is wedding season still, and since it’s so hot I was looking for something that’s breathable and airy. I stumbled across Priscilla of Boston, a favorite designer that offers Vera Wang and Melissa Sweet (Miranda Lambert wore one of these to her wedding!). They have so many gorgeous short wedding dresses that would be perfect for summer! I couldn’t resist sharing a few:
