Leopard Love

It's no secret I'm obsessed with leopard print. Now I am quickly becoming obsessed with the top knot. Who am I?

Love it or Hate it?

A new trend on the horizon is the "high top sneaker" comeback.

I give you the Isabel Marant sneaker that has taken the fashion world by storm:


You're probably thinking, WTF, right? That looks like a hobo shoe?


I admit that I was a little bit taken aback when I first saw this shoe emerge on the scene, but it's definitely growing on me as I am always a fan of casual and comfortable shoes.


It's definitely very European chic.

Where is Winter?

It's been an unusually mild winter here in Tennessee. I haven't been able to wear any of my big coats and crazy leopard faux fur jackets. I always think that winter style is so fun, yet I doubt I will be able to partake in it this year.

Today I'm going to be one of those people who uses Pinterest photos for a whole blog post, but I promise I won't start doing this all the time!

Since I can't enjoy winter looks, here are some of my favorites:

Never Say Never

A while back I stated that I would never wear a "top knot" (aka donut on top of your head hairstyle) with normal clothes. Well, I take back what I said. Tonight my hair was a hot mess and this was the only option.

I wore a Rebecca Taylor sweater, J.Brand Jeggings, TJ Maxx booties and a pashmina scarf.

Scarf Fun

Tonight I wanted to showcase a new Hermes scarf that I received as a gift from a sweet friend. I wore it with a plain white turtleneck and some navy J.Crew pants. I threw on this H&M Blazer until I started to feel a little bit like a flight attendant. I ended up just wearing no blazer and a heavy coat since it's a little cold out.

I love scarves! I always forget about little silk ones like this.

Tornadoes and Chia Seeds

Last night we had some bad weather. I got a little anxious and wore a helmet for a few hours. We ended up having 2 tornado warnings, but nothing touched down. And yes, that is a whistle. Always prepared!

In the midst of my storm anxiety last night, I wound up making these energy bites that I have seen on Pinterest and Designer Diapers blog. The recipe comes from this blog.

They are so good! I added Chia seeds to mine for added nutrition. I didn't take any pictures of the finished product because you all need to visit the website where the recipe originated for pretty pictures.

I have heard great things about chia seeds for nutrition. My friend Dishy Decorator loves chia seeds! You can read more info here. I actually make that chia seed pudding last night.

Cute Dresses

This morning I ordered some adorable dresses from Shop Sosie. I have blogged about them before back in the fall when everyone ordered the black and white chevron dress seen here amidst the blog hype.

I just ordered these three adorable dresses. They are so cheap and would go with so many difference jewelry options.

OOTN + Makeup Vlog

Tonight I wore a Pink Lilly Pulitzer poncho with JBrand Jeans and Loeffler Randall Riley boots. I had on a necklace with the poncho but it kept catching my hair, so I took it off and opted for bright Kendra Scott earrings.

I wanted to update you all on my makeup routine in case you're curious or in case you'd like to waste 20 minutes by watching my painfully slow video.

This and That

Here are just a few things I've ordered lately ...

First off, thanks to a sweet girl on twitter who alerted me, I ordered these adorable neon blazers from GAP with 30% off using the code NEWYOU. I got the hot pink and the neon green.

I've been really into organic and natural products lately that don't contain harsh chemicals. I was on the hunt for a face serum that was all-natural and my search led me to Rodin's Oilo Lusso face serum. I am excited to try it.

On another note, did you all see the Sh*t Fashion Girls Say youtube parody? I love this rendition of the "girls say" video.

I think we have all had the bang dilemma immediately followed by the bang hate phase.

A Whole Bunch of Random

I am loving all of the hot pink clothing items to hit the stores for the spring.

I have always loved wearing hot pink and it reminds me of this Loeffler Randall dress I had a few years ago that I've always regretted selling:

I was watching House Hunters last night and there was a girl searching for an old charming home. She didn't want anything that had been renovated because she said homes like that had "lost their charm". I tend to agree with her! We have a small little old house, but I love its charm! It still has the original kitchen and I think even if we were to redo the kitchen, I would keep the original cabinets because I love them.
My face has decided to break out like a teenager this week, so I am combating with the Epicuren Acne Sulfer mask. It works so well.
I am also trying to eat a lot healthier and I'm taking a stab AGAIN at being a vegetarian. I've been one before, but I normally find my way back to chicken. However, when I eat chicken, I literally pick at it and maybe eat one or two bites, so it's not worth it.

Golden Globes Fashion

Here are my Golden Globe Favorites:

I thought Reese looked amazing in Zac Posen. The red was a stray from her normal safe options and I love her hair down.

Madeline Stowe looked great as well. I love the dress structure and she looks amazing for being 53!

Love this Vera Wang dress on Sophia Verga. It looks like a lot of the dresses from last year's award season, but I still love it.

I actually love Michelle Williams' Jason Wu dress, but would love the look much better sans the headband.

I would have to give the worst dressed to Jessica Biel. I have no clue what she was wearing. It was completely see-thru and looked super matronly (perhaps foreshadowing her marriage to JT?). Either way, it was an overall bad look if you ask me. I just feel like she could have done so much better:
