I have always read about the Aztec Secret Clay on MakeupAlley, but never really gave it much thought.  I was at Whole Foods this past weekend and picked up a container.  First of all, this stuff is messy, but let me tell you, it's worth it!  The clay comes in a powder form and you just mix it with a little water and it turns into a runny paste.  You just need the thinnest layer all over your face for the stuff to work.  I left it on around 20-30 minutes and when I rinsed it off my face was so much softer and glowing.  It was red for about 10 minutes after rinsing, but the redness subsided.

I have just started using Currently Obsessed.  It is more for me to keep track of stuff that I like online, but feel free to check my page out if you're feeling compelled.

Have you all seen Kendra Scott's new earring, the Skylar?  I really like the design and size of this earring.  I love my Danielle earrings by her, but I wish she'd make a bigger version of the Danielle.  I am just one of those people that loves big statement earrings.

Memorial Day Weekend

Tonight I attempted a fishtail braid.  I have wanted to learn how to fishtail braid for a while now, but it always looked so difficult.  I am pretty sure I watched a 12 year old's YouTube video tutorial and with a couple of tries, I had it (albeit a rough version).

We decided to run and get some food so I threw on this old F21 blouse and these dotted Current/Elliott jeans.  I hate that you can barely see the dots in these pictures; they are really cute in person.  I also wore my trusty Tory Burch Miller sandals and Jennifer Miller earrings.

Yesterday I wore a rather simple outfit for running errands.  I got these J Brand torn jeans on eBay last week and rolled the bottoms for a boyfriend look.  I wore them with a white f21 t-shirt and Tory Burch sandals.  I am also wearing my Celine Sunglasses and Prada Saffiano Tote.

Are you all using Viggle yet (click here for an invite)?  I heard about it via Twitter.  It's an app for your phone where you check into TV shows and get points.  Once you accumulate enough points you can redeem them for giftcards.  I am trying to get to the 9,000 point Starbucks giftcard (are you surprised?).  I have only been using it for 2 days and I already have almost 4,000 points, so it's very easy to use!

Are you all doing anything for Memorial Day this weekend?  Nothing to report here.  We may grill out on Monday night, but nothing special.  I traveled last weekend and it literally took me 3-4 days to feel normal again.  I was so exhausted and tired from switching time zones and hanging out with family and friends.

Have a great long weekend!

Floral Summer

Have you all had enough of floral jeans yet? I admit, they are a little overplayed right now, but I couldn't resist getting this pair of Current/Elliot floral jeans on sale from a friend who had bought them on sale and in turn, sold them to me for even cheaper than she paid.

I think with trendy pants it's important to keep the outfit simple; nothing too crazy.  I paired the jeans with a sweater from Nordstrom Rack and some old F21 sandals.  I am also wearing the large Celine Audrey Sunglasses

Things I Love {this week} Vlog: Mario Badescu, Oatmeal, & Celine Sunglasses

Just when you thought there couldn't possibly be any more products, there are! ha! Please pardon the mess in the background. Oh, and for looking rough, but what's new.

Here's the link to Mario Badescu Products talked about in this video:

Just as a note, I was not paid to endorse these products.  I purchased them myself besides the samples that were sent to me by filling out the skincare analysis questionnaire, which anyone can do.

Weekend Fun

I helped host a baby shower this weekend and wore this J.Crew dress that I scored on super-sale about a month ago.  I think the total was around 60 dollars?  It had originally been almost 200.  I wore it with a J.Crew Bubble Necklace borrowed from a friend.  The dress comes in a skirt print as well that I really want.

Thank you all so much for all of your hair suggestions last week.  I took your all's advice and tried some of the suggestions this weekend and my hair held the curl much better.  It wasn't perfect, but it was an improvement for sure!

I guess I am J.Crew lover lately because I also have been loving this denim vest that I got there last week.  I wore it so much this weekend as it was the perfect item to wear over summer dresses.

Overall it was a great weekend visiting with family and friends!

If you haven't noticed yet, fragrances are my thing.  I love sampling different ones and find simple joy in discovering a new fragrance.  Somehow, I ended up smelling this Sisley-Paris Eau De Sisley "1" and loved it.

How long have I wanted these freakin' Charlotte Olympia cat flats (the ones in the photo above aren't mine)? Remember this post from a while back?  It looks as if they will come in pink for the fall.  I've gotta make this happen!
You may remember me wanting some destroyed and faded denim from a few weeks ago.  I found these by J Brand and rolled them myself.  While the rolling isn't perfect, I like that they aren't too holy if that makes sense.

Tuesday MixUp

Last night I wore a new J.Crew dress that I purchased this past weekend.  I was so excited to walk into J.Crew and see a NEON PINK dress hanging on the mannequin.  However, it was the only one in the whole store, so I quickly took it off the mannequin hoping it was my size, and it was!
Isn't it fun? I want every neon color if they have it in more, but I only saw the hot pink.

Can we talk about my hair in these pics? I was all like, "yeaaaaa I am the master of the curling iron now that I've used it ONE time." Well, I attempted the curling iron again and it was a little bit disastrous.  It may not help that I am using the cheapest curling iron possible- one that I got at TJ Maxx for 14 dollars.  My hair would NOT hold the curl at all.  I had the iron on the highest setting and kept my hair in the barrel for a while.  Every time I would spiral my hair out of the barrel it would be stick straight.  I even used Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray right before curling.  Help me hair people.  Help.  I want my hair to look like this:

Hello, Is It Me You're Looking For ...

{'scuze the blemish mask spots. wearing a cute purple sweater given to me by She Inside}

I got my hair trimmed this week.  It was long overdue as it's been since early November since I've done anything to my hair.  I also got some minimal highlights underneath starting not at the scalp, but about half way down the foil.  My new thing is subtle, randomly placed highlights that aren't right at the scalp.

I am looking for a new pair of sunglasses and have gone back and forth between which style I want.  I love cat-eye, but I also love the oversized wayfarer look.  These are some that I've had my eye on:

I found this cute jumpsuit at Target a couple of weeks ago.  It looks like it's sold out online, but you may want to check out your local Target to see if it's still in stores.

Yesterday was our three year wedding anniversary.  We didn't have any big plans so we just went out to eat and got frozen yogurt.  After we got home we played with the dogs in the front yard.  I guess we're getting old.

I wore an old Tibi blouse with a Leiffsdottir (Nordstrom Rack find) open cardigan.  I wore my favorite J Brand 901 Japanese twill jeans.  The shoes are Valentino and were my anniversary present (mesh and studs!!!!!).

My Mother-In-Law, Jan, has created quite a buzz with her face concoction she calls "face love".  She just wrote a blog post the other day about the benefits of Morninga Oil.  People are telling her that it cures acne, red spots, and even diaper rash! I am excited to try it and will let you all know how it goes.  It is mainly used as a cleansing oil, but you can keep it on your face if you want to use it more as a moisturizer.

I have added a pair of Repetto Ballet flats to my never-ending shoe wish-list.  I love how they are simple and logo-free.  Also, they look so soft and comfy.  I am about to throw out all of my revas as they are so uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time!

I used to LOVE Kristin Cavallari on Laguna Beach and The Hills.  Sure, she was mean and catty at times, but I couldn't help but like her.  I think she is really naturally pretty and I always love what she wears.  Her recent outfit has me on the hunt for the perfect yellow blazer!
If you want to splurge, this Rag & Bone yellow blazer is very pretty and looks perfectly tailored.

For a steal, snatch up this Tobi yellow blazer for only $33.00!!

Arizona Print

I've wanted some article of clothing in this Tibi print for a while now.  About a month ago I ordered the maxi skirt and the tank top, but quickly canceled my order because I felt stupid spending that much on Tibi.

I snatched up this blouse with a promo and ended up getting it pretty discounted.  I wore it with black Vince pants and Chanel flats.

I also tried something new with my hair- this novel thing called a curling iron *sarcasm*.  This is going to sound really stupid, but I promise you this was the first time I've ever used a curling iron (with a clamp) on my hair.  I just never heat style and if I do I will use hot rollers.  I really like the results of using an iron, but it took SO long.  Maybe I will get better at using it and cut my time down.

Faded & Destroyed

Images 1,2,3,4

I have been so drawn to faded and destroyed jeans lately.  I love the lighter washes that are either roll-up boyfriend style or skinny style.
