TGIF

Ever since giving up caffeine in January of this year, I have been obsessed with smoothies and juices.  I typically alternate between going to Smoothie King to get the Angel Food smoothie, making it myself at home, or getting a carrot, apple, ginger juice from a local juice bar.

The Angel Food smoothie from Smoothie King is my absolute favorite though.  When I have enough time and feel like it, I will make it myself at home in our blender.  Here's how I make it:

1 Banana
1 cup Strawberries
1.5 cup of ice
2 Tbsp of Powdered Milk
2 Tbsp of Sugar in the Raw
1/4 cup of water

It's seriously the best smoothie ever.  Sometimes I'll make 2-3 in one day.  Mine taste pretty close to the Smoothie King version, but nothing beats one from there.

I finished The Killing this past week and I am so sad! Seriously if you are looking for something new to watch, please watch The Killing!  It's such a captivating, suspenseful, and dark show and I totally cried on the last episode because I didn't want it to be over!

Now I am having withdrawals and need a new show to watch.  Any recommendations?

Thank goodness Homeland starts up again next week so I can continue my obsessive thriller watching spree! I have so missed my crazy bipolar Carrie.

Is anyone else really excited for the Gone Girl movie?  I cannot wait! I just love this time of year because it seems like all of the dark movies come out.

Keeping with the TV/Movie theme ... I am also excited for Lisa Ling's new show on CNN to start this Sunday.  It's called "This is Life" and it details the unusual and far corners of America.  I love some documentaries and the first episode is profiling "sugaring" aka women with sugar daddies.  CANNOT WAIT!

Does anyone remember Lisa Ling from being on Channel One News?

How cute is this sweater dress from Gap?

And it also comes in brown and navy

....................................................................................................................................

I was in Target the other day and noticed some seriously cute shoes.  And to top if off their clothing, accessories, and shoes are buy one get one 50% off right now!

These are much cuter in person ...

And these look so much like the more expensive versions that are out there ...

Have a great weekend!

I will definitely try that smoothie!

For shows, I love OITNB, Scandal, Royal Pains, Deadwood and Downton Abbey -- you may have already watched all of those but they are my favorites that are on netflix/amazon

So pumped for Gone girl the movie; hopefully they do the book justice! Also, I thought I saw on IG you are starting a new job Monday! Congrats! Mind sharing what it is?? If not, no big. Wishing you well on your first day. :)

Yes! Thank you for the show recommendation - going to check it out. We just started the blacklist, which is also suspenseful and a crime-solving sort of thing. You'll like it for sure if you are into homeland!

Ohh! The smoothie recipe looks delish. We got a vitamix from the wedding and I'm always looking for new recipes, esp ones w/o ice cream bc it was making me a fatty. haha

I have to try that smoothie :) I wonder if you added spinach, everything else would 'hide' the favor?
